KENTUCKY — Two Russellville men are in custody after a vehicle was observed nearly striking multiple cars Tuesday night, authorities said.
The Adairville Police Department reported that officers saw a vehicle turning onto US 431 South and traveling southbound while crossing the center line several times.
Police initiated a traffic stop and detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
The driver, 32-year-old Quinton Posey, was asked to exit the car. During a search, officers found cocaine in his possession, leading to his arrest. 24-year-old passenger Emmanuel Leavell was also found to be in possession of cocaine and was arrested.
Posey faces multiple charges, including reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a substance (first offense), drug paraphernalia possession, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine, first offense), and improper or erratic lane change. Leavell is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine, first offense).
Both men remain held at the Logan County Detention Center.
