TENNESSEE — Three teenagers were killed in an early-morning crash Sunday in Nashville, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Police said the two-vehicle collision occurred around 12:45 a.m. on Mt. View Road near Asheford Trace. Witnesses reported that an Infiniti G37 traveling southbound at a high rate of speed collided with a northbound Jeep Renegade.

Two passengers in the Infiniti — 19-year-old Maximos Ibrahim and 17-year-old Raafat Nassif, both of Nashville — died at the scene. A third passenger, 19-year-old David Fakhory of Nolensville, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

The Infiniti’s driver, identified as 17-year-old Kerlos Toma of Murfreesboro, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The 24-year-old driver of the Jeep was also transported to Vanderbilt with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said no one in either vehicle was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Evidence from the scene indicates the Infiniti was partially in the oncoming lane when the collision occurred. Police said the investigation remains ongoing to determine the exact positions of both vehicles.
