NORTH CAROLINA — Raleigh police are investigating two shooting scenes that occurred early Sunday morning, one on New Bern Avenue and another on Trawick Road.

Authorities said two people were injured in the incidents, both suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

According to officials, the first shooting was reported around 3 a.m. at a gas station on Trawick Road across from Star Bar. A second scene was later identified at a shopping center near the intersection of New Bern Avenue and Shanta Drive.

While early information suggested the two scenes might be connected, police later said they could not confirm a link between them. Investigators did, however, confirm that two people were injured.

Both locations are within a short distance of each other, about a three-minute drive apart. The investigation remains ongoing.
