
MICHIGAN — The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of early-morning break-ins at three local businesses that caused significant damage and resulted in thousands of dollars in stolen property.
Deputies were first called around 3:10 a.m. to Sweet Fire Tobacco at 520 Butternut Drive after a burglar alarm was triggered. Upon arrival, they found the business had been broken into.
Shortly afterward, deputies responded to an alarm at Inline Vape, 3155 West Shore Drive, and discovered it had also been burglarized. The third break-in occurred at Pine Creek Mobile Mart, 945 Butternut Drive, just a short time later.
Investigators determined that the three incidents were related. The total losses from stolen and damaged property are estimated to be in the thousands of dollars.
