FLORIDA — The Ocala Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred early Friday morning.
According to police, an unidentified person was struck and killed on Northwest Blitchton Road, just east of Interstate 75 and west of Northwest 35th Avenue Road.
Lanes from the I-75 off-ramp to eastbound Blitchton Road were closed as investigators worked at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details have not yet been released.
