
ILLINOIS — Police in Freeport have arrested a man and a woman in connection with a narcotics trafficking investigation, recovering multiple firearms and illegal drugs, according to the Freeport Police Department.
Officers executed a search warrant on Tuesday, October 21, at a residence in the 300 block of N. West Avenue. During the search, authorities seized 110 grams of cocaine, 240 grams of cannabis, four semi-automatic handguns, and one AK-47 pistol.
Aveon Curry, 21, was charged with possession with intent to deliver more than 100 grams of a controlled substance, armed violence, possession with intent to deliver more than 30 grams of cannabis, and possession of a firearm without a Firearm Owner’s Identification (FOID) card.
Heather Curry, 39, faces a charge of felony possession of a firearm with a revoked FOID card.
Both individuals were taken to the Stephenson County Jail and are awaiting a pretrial detention hearing.
