
OHIO — A Tuesday morning search warrant in Addison Township led to the arrest of one individual following a joint investigation into suspected drug trafficking, according to Gallia County Sheriff Matt Champlin.
Law enforcement officers executed the warrant on Honeysuckle Drive on October 21 after a collaborative effort between the Gallia County and Meigs County sheriff’s offices.
“This morning, a search warrant was executed on Honeysuckle Drive in Addison Township following a collaborative investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity at a residence,” Champlin said in a statement. “This investigation was conducted jointly by the Gallia County and Meigs County Sheriff’s Offices. I am pleased to report that one individual has been taken into custody as a result of today’s efforts and he is currently housed in the Gallia County Jail.”
The suspect was identified as Anthony M. Craver, 35, of Dayton, who faces a charge of possession of drugs.
Champlin emphasized the importance of cooperation among regional law enforcement agencies in addressing drug-related crimes.
“Collaboration between law enforcement agencies is key to our continued effort to combat drug trafficking in our communities,” he said. “I want to commend the law enforcement professionals who have worked diligently to build this case and hold these individuals accountable.”
The investigation remains active, and additional charges may be filed.
