OHIO — One person was arrested Tuesday following a drug bust in the City of Columbiana, according to the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office.
In a post on the department’s Facebook page, officials said the arrest followed a lengthy investigation into alleged theft and drug trafficking offenses. After taking the suspect into custody, authorities executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Pittsburgh Street.
Agents with the Columbiana County Drug Task Force reportedly found 29 grams of methamphetamine, three handguns, and various items of drug paraphernalia.
They also discovered what was described as an “improvised explosive device,” which was safely transferred to the Youngstown Bomb Squad.
As of Tuesday, court records did not show any formal charges filed against the suspect. The investigation remains ongoing.
