One person injured, another grazed following shooting incident in Ohio

OHIO — Akron police are investigating a Monday evening shooting that left one man with two gunshot wounds, another grazed by a bullet, and at least three homes struck by gunfire.

Officers responded around 9:03 p.m. to the intersection of Seiberling Street and Canadian Avenue. A 21-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to his leg and shoulder.

Police applied a tourniquet and provided aid until paramedics arrived. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said a 31-year-old man was grazed by a bullet while sitting on a couch inside a home on the 600 block of Seiberling Street. He was treated at the scene and released.

Police recovered numerous rifle and pistol rounds at the scene and confirmed that at least three homes had been struck by gunfire. Witnesses reported that the suspects may have fled in a silver or gray sedan.

Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses.
