OHIO — Four people were injured early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 33, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the crash happened just after 1 a.m. when a 2008 Honda Civic driven by 50-year-old Elvis Varian of Huntsville was entering U.S. 33 westbound from State Route 117.

Investigators said Varian continued north through the eastbound lane, crossed the divider and westbound lane, and struck an embankment on the north side of the roadway.

Varian suffered suspected minor injuries and was cited for failure to control.

Three passengers — 29-year-old Tuff Cline of Bellefontaine, 28-year-old Jarryd Blackburn of Ada, and 27-year-old Tristan Varian of Dola — also sustained suspected minor injuries. All four were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital.

Deputies reported that Blackburn and Tristan Varian were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene.
