ALABAMA — An 8-year-old boy has died following an ATV accident that occurred Sunday evening in Marshall County, authorities said.
According to Marshall County Coroner Cody Nugent, the single-vehicle crash happened on private property along Rescue Road in Union Grove. The child was thrown from the ATV and suffered serious injuries.
He was taken by ambulance to Huntsville Hospital and later airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, where he died on Monday, Nugent said.
The coroner’s office is not releasing the boy’s name due to his age. The incident remains under investigation by the Marshall County Coroner’s Office and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
