
OHIO — Five people were injured early Sunday morning in a crash involving a Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) bus on Columbus’s east side, according to a city public safety dispatcher.
Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Parsons Avenue and Bryden Road around 12:19 a.m. after receiving reports of a collision.
Two people were taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital and one person was transported to Grant Medical Center, all in stable condition, officials said. Two others were taken to Grant Medical Center with critical and serious injuries.
The dispatcher said the COTA driver was the only person on the bus at the time of the crash and was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
