NORTH CAROLINA — Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head Friday night on Woodcock Drive.
According to the Hendersonville Police Department, officers responded around 8 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting in the area.
When they arrived, they found 29-year-old Justin Alan Davis of Hendersonville suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is assisting local authorities as they work to identify a suspect and determine a motive. Police said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
