PENNSYLVANIA — Police are investigating after a man was shot in the abdomen Friday night in Pittsburgh’s Northview Heights neighborhood.
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials, the shooting occurred just before 10:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Chicago Street.
First responders applied a chest seal to control the bleeding before the victim was taken to a local hospital in critical but stable condition. He was rushed into surgery, and his identity has not yet been released.
Detectives are reviewing evidence and nearby video footage as the investigation continues. No arrests or suspect information had been released as of early Saturday morning.
