KENTUCKY — A Scott County woman is facing drug trafficking charges after allegedly telling police she was transporting drugs to the sheriff’s office in exchange for a PlayStation gaming console.

According to Georgetown police, officers stopped Jennifer Ney on Monday night after receiving reports that she was driving slowly and drifting across lanes on Interstate 75.

Court documents state that Ney attempted to hide suspected drug baggies in her sweater during the traffic stop. Officers also found a large amount of cash in her vehicle.

When questioned, Ney reportedly told police she believed she would receive a PlayStation in return for delivering the drugs to the sheriff’s office.

Ney was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. The case remains under investigation by Georgetown police.
