NORTH CAROLINA — A 56-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday morning following reports of car break-ins on the 500 block of North Queen Street, the Kinston Police Department said.
Officers from the department’s B-Squad responded shortly after midnight and found William Gilchrist, who had crawled under a fence and stolen items from a vehicle.
Authorities recovered the stolen property, and Gilchrist was taken into custody.
He is currently being held at the Lenoir County Jail without bond.
