SOUTH CAROLINA — A Clemson University student died Monday afternoon in a collision involving a motorcycle and a Clemson Area Transit (CATbus) vehicle.
Deputy Coroner Marsha Alexander identified the student as 26-year-old Jacob Babayan of Greer. The crash occurred around 4:20 p.m. on West Main Street in Central.
Details about how the accident happened have not been released. Authorities confirmed that Babayan was wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Clemson University confirmed that Babayan was enrolled as a student at the school.
