
OHIO — A Wooster resident hit the top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s scratch-off game, Ohio Millionaire’s Club, winning $40,000 a year for 25 years — a total of $1 million.
The winner opted for the cash lump sum of $500,000 and, after mandatory state and federal taxes, will receive $364,375.
“I didn’t believe it, I don’t believe it,” he said. He plans to use the winnings to buy a new car and make home improvements.
His daughter shared that her father enjoys playing scratch-off games and was thrilled to confirm his winning ticket. “I looked and said oh my gosh, Dad! You won $1 million! If anybody deserves this it’s him,” she said.
Ohio Millionaire’s Club is a $20 scratch-off with a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. As of October 14, 2025, three top prizes remain in the game.
