
VIRGINIA — A 16-year-old boy is in stable condition after being shot through a window of his home on Saturday morning, authorities said.
Deputies were called around 11 a.m. to the 1900 block of Starrett Road after the teen was injured. His family transported him to a hospital for treatment.
The Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office, working with Virginia State Police and Virginia Conservation Police, tracked down a hunter in the area connected to the shooting.
Malcolm Matthew Vest, 26, of Rockbridge County, was arrested and charged with felony reckless handling of a firearm.
