ILLINOIS — Authorities in DeKalb arrested a man Thursday after seizing more than 20 pounds of marijuana from the trunk of his vehicle, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers pulled over 31-year-old Andre Marquese Kearney of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on I-88 at around 4 p.m. during a traffic stop. A search of the vehicle revealed the drugs in the trunk.
Kearney, who was wanted on a Kane County warrant at the time of his arrest, faces charges including possession of cannabis with intent to manufacture or deliver, unlawful possession of cannabis, and the outstanding Kane County warrant.
He was taken to the DeKalb County Jail.
