
SOUTH CAROLINA — An Anderson County man was arrested late Friday night following a domestic incident that led to a brief standoff, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to a home on Samuel Camp Road, where the suspect had barricaded himself inside. SWAT and negotiation teams responded to the scene and cleared the area after the suspect was taken into custody.
Authorities identified the suspect as Nicholas Earl Wells.
He faces multiple charges, including domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, first-degree assault and battery, resisting arrest, and pointing and presenting a firearm. He was also served with two outstanding family court bench warrants.
No injuries were reported. Wells is scheduled to appear before a judge on Saturday.
