
GEORGIA — A police pursuit in Statesboro ended in a crash Friday afternoon before the driver ran away on foot, according to the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the incident began when a deputy initiated a traffic stop on Highway 46 earlier in the day.
After the deputy retrieved the driver’s information, the man fled the scene, prompting a pursuit involving both the Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol.
The chase continued until the driver lost control and crashed near the intersection of Highway 67 and Anderson Cemetery Road. Authorities said the driver then fled on foot.
The suspect, identified as Breyon Williams, was last seen wearing a light-colored hoodie and a ball cap.
The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the incident or Williams’ whereabouts to contact 912-764-8888 and ask to speak with a dispatcher.
