KENTUCKY — A Somerset man has been charged with murder following an early morning shooting that left another man dead, authorities said.
James Gleason, 40, was arrested in connection with the death of Adam Roark, 39, both residents of Somerset, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to a shooting on Dogwood Lane at approximately 12:35 a.m. Wednesday.
When officers arrived, they found Roark in the driveway with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. A 911 caller was at the scene applying pressure to his injuries. Somerset/Pulaski County EMS responded, but Roark was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gleason was located outside his home, detained, and later charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He is being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
