VIRGINIA — One man was stabbed and three other people were injured during an altercation in Louisa County on Monday evening, according to the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said a 911 call came in at 8:56 p.m. from a “distressed” caller reporting an ongoing assault in the 15000 block of Jefferson Highway. The caller was unable to provide details but said a man was actively fighting and injuring people at the scene.

Deputies and emergency medical personnel arrived to find multiple people hurt. In total, four victims — two men, one woman, and one boy — were injured.

One man suffered life-threatening injuries consistent with a stab wound and was flown by helicopter for emergency treatment. The other three victims had non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at the scene.

The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident and is working to determine what led up to the assault and who was involved.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 540-967-1234.
