
FLORIDA — Washington County authorities concluded a three-month investigation targeting narcotics and drug dealers, resulting in 12 arrests and three outstanding warrants, the sheriff’s department reports.
Arrested individuals face a range of charges including selling methamphetamine, possession of controlled substances, and using communication devices to facilitate felonies. The arrests include:
- Eric J. Hawk, 55, Chipley – Sale of methamphetamine
- Brett C. Thames, 32, Cottondale – Possession of a controlled substance without a prescription
- Victoria L. Miles, 52, Chipley – Sale of methamphetamine, use of a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony, possession of cocaine, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia
- Dimitri L. Davis, 30, Chipley – Sale/delivery of drugs within 1,000 feet of a specified area
- Billy M. Mingo, 51, Caryville – Sale of methamphetamine, use of a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony
- Emily M. Van Avery, 35, Caryville – Sale of methamphetamine
- Gabriella D. Barnes, 34, Chipley – Two counts of sale of methamphetamine, two counts of use of a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony
- Tommy J. Parks, 52, Ebro – Sale of methamphetamine, use of a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony, violation of probation for possession of a controlled substance
- Vernita A. Hutto, 39, Chipley – Sale of methamphetamine
- Cody D. Yates, 41, Chipley – Sale of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a place of worship, use of a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony
- James W. Davis, 47, Chipley – Sale of methamphetamine, use of a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony
- Erik L. Hooks, 53, Fort Pierce, Florida – Sale of methamphetamine
Three individuals still have outstanding warrants:
- Jerry R. Cone, 43, Westville – Sale of methamphetamine, use of a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony
- Shannon D. Hogan, 45, Vernon – Two counts of sale of methamphetamine, use of a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony
Authorities say the investigation was part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in Washington County.
