KENTUCKY — Madisonville police say a man is in jail after making a false report and assaulting officers during his arrest.
Officials reported that officers responded to the 700 block of Seminary Street after Kevin Scott called, claiming someone was in his attic.
When officers arrived, they found the home clear. Scott, described as highly agitated with dilated pupils, fidgety behavior, and avoiding eye contact, refused to cooperate with police.
During the arrest, Scott resisted and kicked two officers while being placed into a patrol vehicle. A search of his person revealed methamphetamine.
Scott was charged with third-degree assault of a police officer, possession of a controlled substance, false reporting that generated an emergency response, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest. He is currently in custody.
