OHIO — Akron police are investigating what they believe may be a murder-suicide involving two teenagers.
Officers responded to a report of gunfire around 12:15 a.m. on Oct. 5 in the area of South Hawkins Avenue and Peckham Street.
When they arrived, they found an 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The victims’ names have not yet been released pending family notification. The investigation remains ongoing.
