NORTH CAROLINA — A school bus carrying students from Rockingham County Schools was involved in a crash Friday morning, officials said.
The crash occurred on Sardis Church Road and involved 23 students from Huntsville Elementary School. The bus ran off the road and struck a guardrail.
Two students were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The remaining students were transported to school after being cleared by Rockingham County EMS.
Officials said parents were notified immediately, and students not taken to the hospital will be examined by school nursing staff.
