KENTUCKY — Two people have been arrested in connection with a string of shoplifting incidents involving large amounts of laundry detergent, according to the Bowling Green Police Department.
Police said that since Sept. 22, several stores have reported thefts of multiple containers of detergent. Investigators used video surveillance to identify the suspects as 50-year-old Jomar Taylor and 54-year-old Donya Taylor, both of Bowling Green.
Detectives also linked a vehicle to the thefts. On Wednesday, officers located the vehicle at Lampkin Park, where they arrested both suspects without incident.
The Taylors were booked into the Warren County Regional Jail and charged with theft by unlawful taking.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and that additional charges may be filed.
