OHIO — A routine traffic stop Wednesday evening led to the arrest of a local man on drug charges.

Around 6:00 p.m., Bellefontaine Police stopped a gray GMC truck for making an improper turn onto South Main Street.

The driver, identified as 45-year-old Craig Combs of Quincy, told officers he did not have a valid driver’s license and appeared unusually nervous. He also disclosed that he was on parole.

With Combs’ consent, officers searched the vehicle and found a bag of suspected methamphetamine hidden inside the driver’s door panel. Combs admitted to using methamphetamine and was taken into custody.

He was transported to the Logan County Jail, where he was formally charged with possession of methamphetamine. Tests later confirmed that the seized substance was methamphetamine.
