PENNSYLVANIA — A Maryland woman was arrested Wednesday night after breaking into a business in Newberry Township, authorities said.

The Newberry Township Police Department reported that officers responded to a burglary in progress at a business on the 400 block of Hemlock Lane just before 8 p.m. on Oct. 1. Police said they arrived within two minutes and found Janell Monroe, 24, of Baltimore, on the scene.

An investigation revealed that Monroe had broken into the business and caused property damage. She was taken into custody and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, and loitering and prowling at nighttime.

Monroe was transported to the York County booking center for arraignment.
