FLORIDA — A 38-year-old Orlando man was killed Wednesday night in a hit-and-run crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the incident occurred around 7:55 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 50 (Colonial Drive) and State Road 436 (Semoran Boulevard).
Investigators said a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Colonial Drive in the center left turn lane when it struck the pedestrian, who had been crossing from north to south.
The driver fled the scene after the crash, and authorities have not released details about the vehicle or suspect.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation.
