Vehicle crashes after speeding over 100 MPH in Ohio

OHIO — A driver walked away uninjured after crashing a pickup truck early Thursday morning following a high-speed incident in Vienna Township.

Police said the crash happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Route 82 near Sodom Hutchings Road. An officer reported the truck had been traveling at 107 mph when it passed a patrol vehicle.

By the time the officer caught up, the pickup had gone off the road and into a ditch.

The Vienna Police Department said no charges have been filed at this time.

Westbound lanes of Route 82 were temporarily closed following the crash.
