OHIO — A Youngstown woman is celebrating a $100,000 top prize after playing the Ohio Lottery’s Win Big scratch-off game.

The winner, who purchased her ticket at Circle K #5330 on Mahoning Avenue, said she was stunned when she realized her prize. “I was in shock. I’m still in shock,” she recalled, adding that even the store clerk screamed in celebration after verifying the ticket.

After state and federal taxes of 28%, she will take home $72,000. She plans to use the money to buy a car, purchase new furniture, and pay bills.

Win Big is a $5 scratch-off game with a $100,000 top prize. According to the Ohio Lottery, two top prizes remain as of October 1.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $34 billion to education across the state. More details about its programs can be found at www.ohiolottery.com/supportingeducation.
