OHIO — Cincinnati Police District Four is searching for Bobby Avery, wanted in connection with a felony strangulation incident that occurred on September 20, 2025.
Authorities said Avery, 36, reportedly wrapped a cell phone cord around a victim’s neck during a physical altercation, making it difficult for the victim to breathe and causing visible injuries.
Avery is described as a Black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 250 pounds. He has a prior history of drug possession and contempt of court. He was last known to reside on Drexel Place in the Avondale neighborhood.
Officials urge anyone with information about Avery’s whereabouts to contact Greater Cincinnati Crime Stoppers or local law enforcement.
