OHIO — Two men were taken to the hospital early Wednesday after a stabbing in Monroe, according to the Monroe Public Safety Department.
Police said officers responded to the 800 block of Harrison Street around 1:41 a.m. after reports that a woman was armed with a knife and that blood was “everywhere.”
When officers arrived, they found two 50-year-old men injured. One had a severe laceration to the right leg, while the other suffered a puncture wound to the abdomen. Both victims were treated at the scene before being taken to the hospital. Police reported one man was in stable condition, while the other’s condition was not immediately known.
Investigators located a bloody knife at the scene. A 40-year-old woman, who also had minor injuries, was taken into custody. Police said all of the individuals involved had been drinking together before the altercation and had past and current relationships with one another.
The woman was lodged at the Monroe County Jail and is expected to face charges of Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm Less than Murder. Police did not release her name.
The incident remains under investigation.
