FLORIDA — An 18-year-old Deltona man has been arrested following a Friday evening shooting outside a Circle K gas station, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies said Yeiriel Andres Tirado Diaz faces multiple charges, including shooting into an occupied vehicle, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, and three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.
According to investigators, Tirado Diaz pulled into the Circle K parking lot at 1380 Howland Boulevard around 6:25 p.m. and opened fire on a man who was pumping gas. The victim fled in his car with two passengers as Tirado Diaz allegedly fired several more rounds. No injuries were reported.
The victim told deputies that he and Tirado Diaz had been close friends for years and were arrested together in 2024. He said Tirado Diaz was upset because his own charges were not dropped, while the victim’s were.
Tirado Diaz is being held without bond at the Volusia County Jail. The case remains under investigation.
