OHIO — A man is in custody following an hours-long SWAT standoff in Huber Heights on Saturday, according to the Huber Heights Police Department.
Officers were called to a home in the 4000 block of Powell Road around 8 a.m. after receiving reports of domestic abuse.
When authorities arrived, they discovered a young child alone inside the house. Officers carried the child to safety, and police said the child has since been returned to their mother.
SWAT officers were called to assist as the situation continued. The suspect was later found hiding in the back of a shed and taken into custody without serious injuries being reported.
While police have not formally identified the suspect, Montgomery County Jail records show that Troy Morgan, 32, was arrested at the Powell Road address around 12:30 p.m. He was booked into the jail on suspicion of strangulation.
