FLORIDA — Vero Beach police arrested two people Thursday following a monthlong investigation into drug sales from a home in Oakmont Park.
The investigation, conducted by the Vero Beach Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit, targeted drug activity at a residence on 466 18th Lane throughout September.
Authorities arrested 50-year-old Gregory Chaney and 46-year-old Cassie Murillo. Chaney was booked on charges of tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Murillo was booked on one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
In a Facebook post, the VBPD warned that “fentanyl and other dangerous narcotics pose a serious threat to public safety” and encouraged residents to report suspicious activity.
