NORTH CAROLINA — A man was shot and killed Tuesday morning in south Durham, according to the Durham Police Department.
The shooting happened on Capps Street, just off South Alston Avenue. Officers responded shortly before 10 a.m. and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the incident appears to be isolated. A suspect has been detained in connection with the shooting.
Investigators remain on scene, and additional information will be released as it becomes available, police said.
