NORTH CAROLINA — Authorities are investigating after a man was found unresponsive in his cell at the Buncombe County Detention Center early Wednesday.
Deputies said Christopher Morrow had been arrested shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday on charges of allegedly tampering with a car. Around 4 a.m. Wednesday, he was discovered unconscious in his cell.
Morrow was taken to Mission Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead by 3 p.m., according to officials.
The North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an examination to determine his cause and manner of death.
