OHIO — Buc-ee’s, the popular Texas-based gas station and travel center chain, is officially expected to open its first Ohio location in April 2026, a company spokesperson confirmed.

The massive facility is under construction at State Route 235 and Interstate 70 in Huber Heights. Plans call for 120 gas pumps and 700 parking spaces, making it one of the largest convenience stores in the region.

Ground was broken on Aug. 8, 2024, but construction was delayed just a few months later.

In November 2024, a legal dispute arose between Huber Heights and Clark County over which entity had the right to provide water and sewage service to the site. The lawsuit was dismissed on Dec. 9, allowing work to resume.

The opening was originally scheduled for 2025, but the delays pushed the project back to 2026. When complete, the store will mark Buc-ee’s first step into the Ohio market.
