OHIO — A 77-year-old Springfield man was hospitalized with serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Champaign County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers from the Springfield Post responded to the scene on Valley Pike, just north of W. Dallas Road, at about 2:30 p.m. on September 15.
Investigators said a 2021 Jeep Wrangler driven by Christopher Murray was traveling north when it veered off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a guardrail, overturned, and came to rest in a ditch.
Murray was transported by ground ambulance to Kettering Health – Springfield. His current condition has not been released.
The Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
