OHIO — An Akron woman has been convicted of forgery in West Virginia after providing a false name during a traffic stop.
Wyoming County Prosecuting Attorney Derek Laxton announced that Myaira Harding, 21, of Akron, pled guilty on September 10, 2025, to the felony offense of Forgery of a Public Document.
She is scheduled to be sentenced on November 5 in Wyoming County Circuit Court, where she faces a potential prison term of two to ten years.
The case began with an August 16, 2025, traffic stop in the Lynco area of Wyoming County. According to investigators, Harding gave officers a false name during her arrest on an unrelated charge. She later signed the false name on official court documents.
Harding remains in custody at the Southern Regional Jail as she awaits sentencing.
