NORTH CAROLINA — A 64-year-old man faces multiple felony charges after authorities discovered explosives and drugs during a search of his home, officials said.

The Craven County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Bureau and the New Bern Police Department Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on Sept. 4 at a residence on Trenton Road. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) assisted in the investigation.

Perry Blake McCoy was charged with felony manufacture of marijuana, felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, two counts of felony marijuana trafficking, and felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

McCoy is being held at the Craven County Confinement Facility on a $790,000 secured bond. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
