KENTUCKY — A man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Louisville’s Newburg neighborhood, according to police.
Officers responded just before 4 a.m. to the 5500 block of Lodema Way following a report of a shooting. They found a man inside an apartment with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 48-year-old Mitchale Groves.
The Louisville Metro Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating. Police said all parties involved are believed to be accounted for.
