WEST VIRGINIA — A traffic stop in Wyoming County resulted in the arrest of two Ohio residents after deputies reported finding cash and drugs inside their vehicle.
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office said deputies stopped a vehicle in the Lynco area around 4:15 p.m. Saturday after noticing the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver was identified as Lucas Robinson of Akron, Ohio.
While speaking with Robinson, deputies said they detected the odor of marijuana, leading to a search of the vehicle.
A passenger, identified as Gibrauna Dowdell, also of Akron, was removed from the vehicle before deputies began the search.
Investigators reported seizing approximately $3,632 in cash, a pill bottle containing crushed Percocet, and a baggie of powder. The powder later tested positive for fentanyl, weighing about 14 grams.
Robinson and Dowdell were both arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to deliver and drug conspiracy. Authorities said the seized substances will be sent to the West Virginia State Police Crime Lab for further analysis.
