TENNESSEE — A Murfreesboro man has been arrested after allegedly making a threat toward the Nashville school where he worked part-time, according to Metro Nashville police.

Authorities said 19-year-old Max Overholt was taken into custody Thursday after reportedly telling his father during a domestic incident on Tuesday “that he would shoot up” Christ Presbyterian Academy if he wanted.

The threat was reported to Murfreesboro police during their investigation of the domestic matter and later shared with Metro police.

Overholt was employed as a contract dining services worker at the private school, police said.

He has been charged with false reporting and making a threat of mass violence. Overholt is being held on a $20,000 bond.
