Police searching for wanted violent criminal in Ohio

Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office

CLEVELAND — Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County has issued an arrest warrant for Edward Adams, a Cleveland resident who has been designated a repeat violent offender by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department.

Adams, 5’11” and weighing 150 pounds, was last seen in the 7000 block of Madison Avenue in Cleveland.

In 2023, he pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, following a 2022 incident in which he allegedly walked up to a vehicle and fired a shot at a victim inside.

Adams was prohibited from possessing firearms due to a prior felony conviction in 2003 for attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Additionally, Adams’ criminal history includes a conviction for aggravated robbery, and officials say he is now in violation of parole conditions related to that offense.

Due to his record, Adams now faces multiple charges, including:

  • Felonious assault (with a firearm specification as a repeat violent offender)
  • Discharging a firearm on or near prohibited premises
  • Having weapons while under disability
  • Receiving stolen property
  • Domestic violence

Authorities urge anyone with information on Adams’ location to contact Crime Stoppers at 216-252-7463.

Tips that lead to an arrest and conviction could earn the tipster a reward of up to $5,000. Calls are not recorded, and informants may remain anonymous.
