SOUTH CAROLINA — Authorities in Marlboro County are investigating a stabbing that left one person in life-threatening condition over the weekend.
According to the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred Saturday in the Bennettsville area. Investigators said the victim suffered multiple stab and cut wounds and was discovered on Sunday after surviving overnight.
The victim was transported by Emergency Medical Services to a medical facility for treatment. A suspect is in custody, deputies confirmed.
Officials said there is no known threat to public safety. The investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be released as they become available.
